You’ve changed classrooms, grades, or schools, or maybe you had a name change this summer. You might be excited about the change but probably not about needing to establish a whole new blog just because you’re no longer “msjonesroom301” but rather “mssmithroom301” or “msjonesgrade5.”
If you’re utilizing Blogger, one of our most common blogging platforms (you automatically get an account as part of Google Apps for Education), it is easy to move your blog to a new URL (internet address).
- Log into Blogger and you should land on your Dashboard page. Click the down arrow next to the page icon and select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
- In the Publishing section, you will see the URL for your blog. Click on the edit button and then edit the text that appears before “.blogspot.com”. Click Save when you are done and Blogger will let you know if that address is available.
- It’s as easy at that!
